Aman, Tokyo

Best hotel in Tokyo? Honestly, yes.

If you appreciate minimalist design, obsessive attention to detail, and materials that feel expensive at every touchpoint, Aman Tokyo delivers exactly what you expect. And then some.

The welcome space alone is ridiculous. Double-height doesn’t cut it. Ceilings and windows must be 10 metres. HUAGEEE. On a clear morning, you can sit back and relax with a coffee and view of Mount Fuji. Not a bad way to start the day.

Disclaimer this review (if you can call it that) is admittedly from a stay in 2022 but you never forget a place like Aman. Also highly recommend a November visit, temperature was perfect and Autumnal scenery etc. gorgeous. And not obscenely packed with tourists like the standard ‘cherry blossom’ months.

Rooms — 10/10
Spacious, calm, and beautifully designed. Bathrooms are huge, wardrobes even bigger.

Food & Service — 9/10
Restaurant and room service are faultless. Exactly what you want at this level.

Location — 10/10
Easy walk to trains, shops, restaurants. Effortless.

Pool & Gym — 10/10
The pool is genuinely insane. The scale of everything makes you stop for a second.

The Unexpected — 10/10
Even the hallways deserve a mention. Every space feels considered.

Spa Massage — 6/10
The deep tissue massage? Underwhelming. But unless you like borderline aggressive pressure, you probably won’t care.

Price
Expensive. Obviously. It’s Aman.

Final Verdict
Worth it? Yes.
